Singapore has become a key region in South-East Asia for business development. Singapore is now the logistics hub of Asia, and the fifth one worldwide, according to The World Bank’s ranking in the 2014 Logistics Performance Index. Singapore is located in a very strategic area of Southeast Asia and is also at the nexus of major shipping lanes, which makes it an important conduit for both logistics and world trade. Today, 20 of the top 25 global logistics players conduct operations from Singapore, making it into a prime location for logistics companies. Many of these players, such as DHL, Kuehne + Nagel, Sankyu, Schenker, Toll, UPS and Yusen Logistics, have regional or global headquarters in Singapore. With this expansive base of leading global logistics companies, a world-class infrastructure and excellent global connectivity, Singapore has become a preferred logistics and supply chain management hub for leading manufacturers across industries, including companies such as Avaya, Diageo, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Infineon, LVMH, Novartis, ON Semiconductor, Panasonic and Siemens Medical Instruments.
With the above in mind, it is only logical for us to also move to expand our reputation in Singapore, and this event came at the end of a week-long commercial partner recruiting Resellers Partner in the region.
The main theme of the event was innovations in the supply chain: how to optimize the supply chain and why it has become necessary to do so. Other topics included connected objects in the supply chain and e-commerce and the supply chain. Industry professionals mainly participated in order to gain an overview of what the newest technologies have to offer them.
One of our 2017 objectives is to expand our reputation throughout the region, and so we will be participating in the Logistics and Cold Chain Buyer Meeting event in Singapore on the 27th and 28th of February 2017. Our aim during this event will be to bring our knowledge and expertise in supply chain management solutions to companies in the area.
