The purpose of this Appendix 1 is to describe the base offering.

References and Methods and Quality

The On Demand service operating processes have been developed in compliance with the main market standards including: ITIL best practices, project management and quality management (COBIT, PRINCE 2, ISO 9001:2000, SAFE).

They are the subject of a documentary collection ensuring a continuous quality approach in areas such as:

  • Configuration Management : infrastructure, application versions, software,
  • Management of operational ITIL processes: releases, work requests, change requests, customer support requests,
  • Management of service levels and indicators
  • Documentation management,
  • Incident and escalation management,
  • Risk management,
  • Security Management
  • Management of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)

Technical Architecture

The operating processes for the service has been developed in GENERIX’s On Demand service, the technical infrastructure is outsourced to a data center operator who provides the hosting space and associated services.

Generix organization guarantees the technical excellence of the services, in compliance with industry standards in the field, including BS EN ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.

The domains thus managed are:

  • Intrusion security
  • Fire safety
  • Electrical availability
  • Air conditioning
  • Redundancy of services
  • 99% IP network security

Generix ensures for its part:

  • The dimensioning and hardware architecture, networks
  • Backups
  • Supervision and operation of servers, networks and applications

The technical infrastructure of the On Demand services is resilient in compliance with current standards.

ARP-CAPs are performed on a regular basis.

SOLOCHAIN WMS  solution

The SOLOCHAIN solution enables a company to manage the distribution of their goods.

The solution supports integration between different systems, enabling the exchange of master and transactional data.

SOLOCHAIN WMS & MES, utilizes configurable business rules, logic, and algorithms.  Tasks are dispatched to the the workforce (Users) primarily via the CLIENT provided RF wireless network using mobile devices, in near real time,

SOLOCHAIN supports many capabilities related to the following high level functional areas:

  • Integration with other systems
  • Process configuration
  • Inventory management
  • Inbound processes
  • Manufacturing execution (kitting)
  • Outbound Processes
  • Reporting & Visibility

Examples of functionality supported include:

Inventory Management; lot control, expiration, traceability, serial number tracking, location, unit of measure, dimension & weight, status. Leverage attributes and processes can help drive Quality Assurance (QA) tasks. Cycle counts based on planned and event driven tasks.

Inbound receiving against: Purchase Orders, Transfer Orders, Return Authorizations, ASN, and unplanned receipts.

Putaway Processing; directed or suggested based on pre-defined rules, use of drop locations, overrides with reason codes.

Cross dock of inbound to outbound orders based upon reservation.

Manufacturing Execution; Bill of Materials (kitting), multi-step materials management, finished goods output and inventory consumption.

Automated and User initated Order grouping (wave) generation.  Order pick, batch pick, cluster pick, each pick.  Order consolidation, pack, stage.

Trailer to dock assignment, drop sequence scan-based trailer loading.

Shipping carrier integration and label validation options are available through a Third-Party Shipping Solution.

General functions include site performance dashboards, application monitoring, export data, import/create data leveraging excel templates.

Available Languages

SOLOCHAIN is available in English and can be translatable to aditional languages.

Data Archiving

SOLOCHAIN does not archive production data on a defined schedule.  For each Customer instance an archiving schedule will be determined during the implementation project.

All customer data will be provided to customer on a defined schedule and no customer data will be purged without customers express consent.

Upon termination all existing production and archived data will be extracted and provided to the customer.

Interfaces

SOLOCHAIN supports integration with Customer applications, using interface processes and protocols.

Interface details, including payload and schedule, are defined through an analysis to be conducted by Customer and Generix implementation teams during the project.  The analysis will provide mapping and data transformation rules and schedules for prsynchronization between SOLOCHAIN and customers “host” environment.

Each interface message will have a defined payload.  Payload formats supported include XML, JSON, Comma Separated Value (CSV), or Fixed Length Flat file.

Supported import interface protocols include SOAP Webservices, File Transfer via Shared Directory, FTP/FTPS, SFTP (SSH).

Supported export interface protocols include SOAP/HTTP/REST Webservices, File transfer via Shared Directory, FTP/FTPS, SFPT (SSH) and Direct Database Connectivity.

Standard interfaces are proposed and further defined during the implementation project. Standard interfaces include items, customers, vendors, carriers, and orders.

Security

The operating processes of the On Demand service have been developed in the security management of Generix SaaS services and is organized around the following axes:

The infrastructure Monitoring

  • Monitoring (PRTG)
  • Probes (HIDS)
  • The Security Operation Center
  • Log Correlation

Resilience

  • Replicated Datacenters
  • Multi-site backups
  • An incident management policy
  • Support 24 / 7
  • Maintenance in safe conditions

Controls

  • Intrusion tests
  • Internal Audits
  • Reviews (accounts, access, rights, backups, configuration)
